Chef Rezaul Karim, also known as "Sweden's spice man," is highly respected in the culinary world. His exceptional dishes have earned him fame and numerous prestigious awards, including the "Guld Draken" and the British Curry Award.
Born in Bangladesh in 1975, Rezaul moved to Sweden at 19. He quickly gained recognition for his cooking skills in Indian restaurants all across Stockholm.
Rezaul later opened his own restaurant, Indian Garden, in Hornstull, which became extremely popular. He soon expanded his business to include eleven restaurants in Stockholm and Norrköping.
But Rezaul didn't stop there. He launched Indian Garden Lunchbox, delivering delicious food directly to people's homes through major food chains like ICA, Coop, and Hemköp. Additionally, he recently opened Chaiwali, an Indian teashop where customers can enjoy authentic Indian tea in a cozy atmosphere.

The winners are selected by the Krogkommissionen, which is part of Dagens Nyheter's editorial board for the local supplement På Stan. The golden dragon logo is designed by the graphic designer Nille Svensson.
British Curry Award
The British Curry Awards is an annual awards dinner dedicated to the British curry industry. It was established in 2005 by Enam Ali and has continued to this day. Each individual award is split for geographic purposes — regional splits of Scotland, North West, North East, Midlands, Wales, South East, South West, London Central and City, and London Suburbs — and expertise.
